Kol Nidrei Appeal 2014 – Chai Cancer Care

It has become an annual tradition in St Albans on Yom Kippur morning for a member of our community to make a charity appeal.

This year, Nigel Marks made the appeal on behalf of Chai Cancer Care.

A Rosh Hashana message from the RabbiRabbi

It is with great pleasure and humility that I write this, the first ‘Rabbi’s Message’ in some 50 years for St Albans United Synagogue, our new community and home.

Firstly, on behalf of myself, my wife Alli and our children, I must express our deepest gratitude for the tremendous warmth of reception we have received since coming to St Albans. We have been so touched and quite overwhelmed by the friendliness, kindness and positivity of the members of the community that we’ve met so far. This warmth and informality has become a trademark of the shul, and has attracted many who have visited to join the community. Including us!

We look forward to meeting and getting to know many more of the community at our services and events, over the coming weeks and months.
